In a Grand Theft Auto Community Update posted on the studio’s website Friday, Feb. Rockstar has set a high bar with its last two titles and the standards from fans will be high. Rockstar Games has confirmed that the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is in active development, while the expanded and enhanced versions of GTA V for current-gen consoles will be hitting store shelves this coming March 15, 2022. Details are scarce on the project, but it's expected to be set in Vice City, a city that hasn't been seen since the PS2-era titles. While Rockstar was planning to remaster the original Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto IV, those plans have been axed. It’s also now being prioritised ahead of other projects the game developer was working on.
